Key travel vaccines explained
Hepatitis A & Typhoid — food and water
The two most common travel vaccines. Both protect against infections spread through contaminated food and water, which makes them relevant for most trips to Asia, Africa and parts of South America.
Yellow fever — mandatory for some countries
Required for entry to parts of sub-Saharan Africa and South America. In India, the yellow fever vaccine is only given at government-authorised yellow fever centres, and the certificate is now valid for life.
